Our beloved Carmen Rouggeri and her collaborators will present this year "The Game of Joy", a work based on Eleanor Porter's novel "POLLYANNA".

It is a "game" by Pollyanna, an eleven-year-old charming girl, who can completely win the hearts of young and old alike.

The pawns of this game are:

• optimism against pessimism,
• kindness against malice,
• laughter against tears,
• forgiveness against revenge,
• joy against sorrow.

All this because Pollyanna, the heroine of the story, always sees the rosy side of life, and believes that we can find joy even in something unpleasant that happens to us.

Our little heroine arrives alone in a village with indifferent and sad inhabitants and by applying this "game", she manages in a short time to rouse them all and fill them with optimism, joy, and hope.

The performance has a very interesting plot. Clever sets, fairytale costumes and inspired choreographies set to music and songs of old country, foxtrot, rock and roll, gospel, and blues, as the work is a gem of American literature.
