An original performance in which Shakespeare converses with Karagiozis through shadow theatre and live stage action. Kostas Spyropoulos, an outstanding successor of the art of shadow theatre, amazes both children and adults with his unique style and incomparable skill.
Romeo and Juliet take the stage alongside our beloved folk hero, Karagiozis. The two young lovers seek his help, hoping that through his authenticity, humor, and masterful artistry, he can change the course of their story!
A live orchestra will also be featured!
Director’s Note
Is happiness truly a life that shines? Or is it perhaps where light and shadow share the stage that happiness is created? Every masterpiece of art contains both light and shadow. In this way, perspective is formed. Light and shadow come together here as well, with the aim of presenting—both on stage and on the screen—the masterpiece of William Shakespeare. Michalis Kokkinos
