Themis Moumoulidis returns for the third time to “Antigone” with a new stage interpretation. Antigone’s “NO” rises as the ultimate affirmation. Not to yield. This is her own law.

With Antigone, the very fields of conflict are called into question: right – wrong, life – death, man – woman, light – darkness, authenticity – compromise, law – justice, transgression – submission.

A powerful denunciation of totalitarianism, which usurps authority in order to exercise every right over human existence—even beyond death. A power that suppresses every notion of humanity, producing and reproducing submission as the measure of normality.

By embracing death, Antigone claims life—a life worthy of being lived. Thus, even if she is ultimately led to death and Creon survives, in reality it is a continuous death of Creon and an opening of Antigone toward the future.
